Jayne focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance of clients in a vast range of industries. She is a recognized writer on trends in corporate governance, effective board oversight and shareholder engagement strategies in ALM’s Law.com and the New York Stock Exchange Governance Services’ Insights monthly newsletter. She serves as the co-chair of ABA’s Corporate Governance Publications Subcommittee, which publishes CGC In Sight, and covers corporate governance developments at the Securities and Exchange Commission, NYSE, NASDAQ and proxy advisory firms. Jayne’s passion for her practice led to considerable media attention and awards over the past several years. She was recently recognized on the Ethisphere 2016 List of Attorneys Who Matter, written about in Whitney Johnson’s book “Disrupt Yourself” and in the Harvard Business Review Article “What Do You Do Well That Others Don’t,” profiled in a Forbes ebook authored by Denise Restauri entitled Their Roaring Thirties: Brutally Honest Career Talk From Women Who Beat the Youth Trap, and she has offered business insights on Forbes.com on numerous occasions. In 2014, Crain’s Cleveland named her to the Forty Under 40 class. Fast Company recognized her as a thought leader in corporate social responsibility in 2010, and she received this recognition again in 2012 by BRANDfog. Corporate Board Member, a NYSE Euronext Company, and Mediaite, a Dan Abrams publication, have both published articles naming her as a leading resource for corporate governance. In 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2016, Super Lawyers listed her as a “Rising Star.” In 2009, Inside Business published a full-page profile about her and dubbed her a “legal eagle,” and, in 2008, Inside Business presented her with the 25 under 35 “Movers and Shakers” award.
A firm and community leader on the role of women in the workplace, Jayne serves as the chair and is the founder of the Roetzel Women of Success initiative.
